.SERVICES - Telephone Administration
How are your potential/future guests spoken with when
calling your establishment?
i-SPY provides
MP3 files allowing you to listen for yourself.
The telephone administrator/reservationist is the first
interaction many guests have with a restaurant/hotel; it is
by some guests deemed as a precursor as to the level of
service and professionalism one should anticipate during
their impending dining/service experience. The duties of
those handling telephones go beyond gathering reservation
and contact info; they are the restaurant/hotel’s connection
to potential and future guests—in essence,
an information liaison and
salesperson.
Such employees are expected to have superior knowledge of
the restaurant’s style of cuisine, menu and pricing, and the
capability to vividly converse on each. Telephone personnel
are expected to speak professionally, exude patience with
inquisitive callers and treat each caller with utmost
respect. |
